The Universiti Malaya on Monday conferred an Honorary Doctorate in International Relations on President Cyril Ramaphosa during a special convocation at the university's Dewan Tunku Canselor , reports Cape town Etc .
Ramaphosa received the degree as part of a working visit to Southeast Asia that includes his participation in the Summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. The Chancellor, the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah presented the honour, reports NST Online . Universiti Malaya said it recognised Ramaphosa's contributions to global diplomacy and international negotiation and his work on the world stage.
