The Vlakkenberg fire remains well contained in Table Mountain National Park, SANParks said on Wednesday, 26 March 2026, reports Cape town Etc .
SANParks said crews monitored isolated hotspots along the left flank near Constantia Nek and surrounding wine farm areas.
The fire started on Tuesday, 24 March and the latest update kept the focus on steady containment work across the affected slopes. As cloud cover lifted, teams moved back along the fire line and continued their patrols.
