Westridge mom Micha Renge 21 has urged the Mitchells Plain court to refuse bail for her former partner after she survived a five-hour assault near the Mnandi Beach canal in late December, reports Cape town Etc .
The attack, during which Renge says she was strangled and threatened, left her traumatised and seeking protection as criminal proceedings continue.
According to The Plainsman , the suspect, named in reports as Abu Bakhar Ceaser, appeared in the Mitchells Plain Magistrate's Court on attempted murder charges on 2 February but his bail hearing was postponed until 10 February because a new prosecutor had to be appointed.
