Palestinian striker Wessam Abou Ali was the star of the show, netting a stunning hat-trick, while Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane added a fourth for the Cairo giants.

However, Porto kept clawing back, with goals from Rodrigo Mora, William Gomes, Samu, and veteran defender Pepe ensuring both sides exited the tournament.

Needing a win and a favorable result in the other Group A clash between Inter Miami and Palmeiras, Al Ahly came out aggressive. They controlled possession early and threatened from the flanks. Their dominance was rewarded in the 15th minute when Abou Ali finished off a swift counter-attack with a composed low strike.

Porto responded just eight minutes later through 18-year-old Mora, who beat Mohamed El-Shennawy with a brilliant solo effort. But Al Ahly reclaimed the lead in first-half stoppage time, as Abou Ali calmly slotted home from the spot after Zizo was brought down in the box.

The second half was nothing short of chaotic. Porto equalized just five minutes after the restart through William Gomes' long-range effort. But Abou Ali hit back immediately, heading in his third goal from a pinpoint Mohamed Hany cross.

The draw didn't last long as just two minutes later, Samu rose highest to nod in Porto's third from a corner. With the score at 3-3 and the pace relentless, Jose Riveiro turned to his bench. Achraf Bencharki, Nejc Gradisar, and Omar Kamal entered the fray, replacing the injured Abou Ali, Trezeguet, and Hussein El-Shahat.

The impact was felt right away when Bencharki set up Ben Romdhane for Al Ahly's fourth, a curling effort into the top corner. But despite several late chances, including misses from Zizo, Gradisar, and Bencharki, the Red Devils couldn't close the game.

They were made to pay in the final minute, as Pepe rose unmarked to head home the equalizer and deny the Egyptians a win.
