Fire crews were on high alert along the slopes of Signal Hill after a vegetation fire last night was successfully contained, with emergency teams now focused on monitoring the area for any possible flare-ups, reports Cape townEtc .
According to a post via Facebook by Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security JP Smith, the City mounted a full-scale response shortly after the fire was reported, despite Table Mountain National Park activating its own emergency partners.
