The City of Ekurhuleni has confirmed that MMC for Roads and Transport Andile Mngewu and his fellow travelers are missing in Mozambique after the vehicle they were travelling in was swept away by flood waters.
Members of the South African National Defense Force SANDF alongside their Mozambican counterparts are searching for Mngewu and his other parties in his vehilce
It is not yet clear whether they are still alive and if they have been able to get out of the vehicle.
