Employment and Labour Minister Nomakhosazana Meth has dismissed claims that the closure of the Unemployment Insurance Fund UIF employee claims portal has negatively affected beneficiaries.
Meth says the new UIF online platform, launched in April last year, has improved access to services by allowing direct submissions, real-time tracking of claims and automated communication.
She says more than 4.5 million claims have been processed and paid through the new system.
