The United Democratic Movement UDM says it has escalated its complaint against Bafana Bafana coach, Hugo Broos to Parliament. The party is accusing oversight bodies of failing to act on alleged racist and sexist remarks made by the South African football national team coach.
The party says it has now written to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Thoko Didiza, for intervention after what it calls delays by the South African Human Rights Commission SAHRC and the Commission for Gender Equality, to investigate.
The UDM says the matter stems from comments made by Broos in December last year, which the party believes were discriminatory and warranted urgent investigation.
