Female riders in South Africa now have an option to choose the Women Drivers product on the Uber e-hailing app.
The new product responds to the growing demand for safer, more inclusive mobility options, Uber said in a statement on Tuesday 30 September.
Uber launches Women Drivers in South AfricaThe launch follows extensive testing in cities in the United States and France. Uber said it has localised insights from these tests to meet the specific needs of South African riders and drivers.
