Two charred bodies have been discovered during a fire incident that occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning in Alberton, east of Johannesburg.
According to the City of Ekurhuleni Emergency Management Services spokesperson, Tikkie MacDonald, they received an emergency call reporting a structural fire and on arrival, discovered two units on fire.
MacDonald says, On arrival, firefighters found two units involved in the fire: the bottom flat and the flat directly above it. Firefighters acted swiftly to extinguish the blaze, successfully preventing the fire from spreading to surrounding residential units.
