Donald Trump's protectionist measures are hitting Africa hard. Lesotho is the most severely taxed country, with a rate of 50. Madagascar and Mauritius are next, with taxes of 47 and 40 respectively. South Africa, Botswana, Angola, Libya, Algeria and Cte d'Ivoire also face important taxes. Pretoria is urgently trying to negotiate a new free trade agreement with Washington.
