Trenitalia has introduced dynamic pricing on some of its high-speed services, where fares will now fluctuate based on real-time demand.
Peak-time seats will cost more, while off-peak fares will be cheaper, as pricing becomes demand-based. This replaces the old system, which offered a fixed number of cheaper tickets on each service, regardless of day or time.
The new pricing system applies only to Trenitalias Frecciarossa, Frecciargento and Frecciabianca services, while fares for Trenitalias intercity and regional trains remain regulated, according to Business Travel News Europe .
