A 44-year-old suspect has been arrested in Malmesbury on the Cape West Coast for the possession of drugs, contravention of the Precious Metal Act, as well as contravention of the Financial Intelligence Centre Act.
Police spokesperson FC Van Wyk says members attached to Malmesbury SAPS Crime Prevention Unit received a tip-off about a vehicle transporting drugs , travelling in the direction of Malmesbury.
Van Wyk says members acted on the information and intercepted the vehicle, which was spotted on the N7, travelling towards Moorreesburg.
