The Nigeria Customs Service, Tincan Island Port Command, has achieved a remarkable feat by collecting N16.4bn in revenue on August 19, 2025, through the effective deployment of the Unified Customs Management System, B'Odogwu. This milestone is a testament to the efficiency, transparency, and responsiveness of the system in streamlining port operations.
According to a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the command, Oscar Ivara, the achievement is a result of the command's commitment to leveraging technology to enhance revenue collection and trade facilitation.
The Customs Area Controller in charge of the command, Frank Onyeka, attributed the success to the B'Odogwu system, which has improved the ability of licensed customs agents and stakeholders to access payment platforms and complete cargo clearance processes in real-time.
