Three suspects have been killed in a shootout with police in Mamelodi, Pretoria.
The South African Police Service SAPS received information about suspects who were in possession of illegal firearms at a house in the area.
The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation Hawks Spokesperson Chris Singo says, "The police visited the house, upon arrival, a shootout ensued. Three suspects were fatally wounded by the police and one suspect fled the scene. Police recovered one rifle and two pistols."
