Three Arrested In Northern Cape Over Stolen Vehicle
Three suspects aged between 24 and 36 have been arrested by Northern Cape police for alleged robbery and possession of a suspected stolen vehicle. They are expected to appear in court soon.
According to police, the suspects were apprehended by highway patrol officers in Colesberg. The vehicle, a Mercedes-Benz, was reportedly stolen during a house robbery in Table View, Cape Town. Surveillance technology was used to trace the vehicle's movements.
Provincial Police Spokesperson, Sergeant Sergio Kock, says, "The vehicle was identified travelling near the Three Sisters area. Highway patrol members executed a tactical stop on both the Mercedes-Benz and the accompanying Audi. During the stop and search, three suspects were arrested, and law enforcement officers recovered several items, including laptops, cellphones, and other valuables. Both vehicles were seized, and the suspects, aged between 24 and 36, were charged with possession of suspected stolen vehicles and property. They are expected to appear in court soon."
The police have confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
