tetego completes north african move as club africain land cameroons rising star

Ryan Tetego has sealed a move to Tunisian side Club Africain, signing a contract that runs until June 2029 after impressing during a trial period.

The Victoria United midfielder leaves for a reported fee of 50,000 around FCFA 32.8m, with the Limbe club securing a 20 sell-on clause, confirmed via their official social media channels.

Tetegos exit ends a standout chapter for Victoria United, whose survival in Cameroons top flight owed much to the playmakers six-plus goals this season. He consistently found the net against the leagues heavyweights, including Union de Douala, Coton Sport, and PWD Bamenda.

His most memorable contribution came against Coton Sport in Limbe, where he calmly converted a ninth-minute penalty to break the deadlock and set Victoria on course for a 3-1 victory

The move comes as Tetegos talent gains international recognition. He earned his first call-up to Marc Brys Indomitable Lions back in June 2025, replacing Danny Namaso for Africa Series fixtures.

The midfielder joined the squad in Marrakech ahead of their friendly against Uganda, linking up with compatriots Vincent Aboubakar and other home-based stars in the 24-man squad training at the Grand Stadium complex.

For Club Africain, Tetego represents a strategic signing, a proven performer under pressure who has repeatedly delivered match-winning moments. The Tunisian side hope his dynamism and vision in midfield will translate seamlessly to the North African game.
