The iconic Table Mountain National Park TMNP is preparing for a series of ecological burns scheduled between June and July 2026, aimed at rejuvenating its vital fynbos ecosystems while simultaneously bolstering biodiversity conservation efforts, Cape town Etc reports.
These controlled burns, which are part of the South African National Parks SANParks Integrated Fire Management Programme, will take place in designated areas within the park, subject to favourable weather conditions.
The areas identified for the prescribed burns include:
