Subject, an AI-powered education platform, just landed a 28 million investment. Vistara Growth led the round, and NextEquity Partners, Green Street Impact Partners, and Outcomes Collective jumped in too. Some familiar faces-Kleiner Perkins, True Equity, L'Attitude Ventures, and Hannah Grey-came back for more.
This fresh funding follows a big wave of schools across the country picking up Subject's platform. More and more districts want AI tools that actually help students learn, especially since old digital programs are tough to scale and even harder to track.
Michael Vilardo, Subject's Founder and CEO, put it like this: "School districts are being asked to do more-offer more classes, boost outcomes, but with fewer teachers and resources. We built Subject to make sure every student, no matter where they live, gets real access to engaging, accredited courses."
