The Garden Route Disaster Management Centre says some schools will still remain closed in the region where theres been flood and wind damage and where communities have been cut off by floods.
Municipalities have also made progress with reopening more roads throughout the region.
Disaster head Gerhard Otto says food hampers are still being distributed to flood cut off communities.
