SolarAfrica has entered into an agreement to acquire the Nyakallo solar project from Norsk Renewables with the companies set to jointly advance the utility-scale solar and battery storage development towards financial close and construction.
Located in Limpopo, the Nyakallo project is expected to deliver grid-connected renewable electricity to commercial and industrial C I customers from the second half of 2028.
Originally developed by Norsk Renewables with development support from Green Soll, the project has already progressed through several early-stage milestones, including grid connection approvals, permitting and initial design work.
