American skateboarder Jason Vanporppal, who recently made headlines for completing a remarkable 5 900km journey from Uganda to Cape Town on a skateboard, has found himself embroiled in an unfortunate scandal.
The funds he raised to build Ugandas first public skatepark are now at the centre of an alleged theft that could hinder the very cause he sought to promote, Cape town Etc reports.
In a candid and emotional video shared on social media , Vanporppal revealed that he believes he was scammed out of R25 000 approximately 1 500 that was meant specifically for the children's skatepark project.
