The Special Investigating Unit SIU says it has made significant progress in its investigation into maladministration and academic fraud at the University of Fort Hare in the Eastern Cape.
The unit says its investigation is at an advanced stage, and a report will be released in September.
It says delays in its investigations have been marred by the unavailability of witnesses.
