Residents in Lentegeur woke up to another violent crime scene on Monday morning after a 23-year-old man was gunned down while sitting inside his vehicle near the corner of Weltevreden Valley and Highlands Drive, Cape town Etc reports.
According to SAPS, the shooting happened at around 8:15am on 25 May 2026, during what would normally be a busy start to the day for commuters and school traffic moving through the area.
The victim was found dead inside his car after unknown gunmen allegedly opened fire before fleeing the scene on foot.
