Shompole Wilderness, located in southern Kenyas Shompole Conservancy, has introduced a second photographic hide, expanding its offering for visitors seeking dedicated wildlife viewing and photography experiences.

The new Kichaka Hide is located 1.5km from the original Plains Hide. While both hides offer similar interiors, Kichaka is slightly larger and positioned in a bushy area with thick grass contrasting with the more open setting of the Plains Hide.

The new hide is equipped for day and night photography, featuring custom waterhole lighting with front, back or side illumination options. According to the lodge, all the gadgets and gizmos have been installed to support specialised photographic requirements.
