Police have warned that officers will not tolerate unruly or violent behaviour towards police officers, after a video went viral showing a female police officer being assaulted by two men in Kimberley.
Two male suspects, aged 20 and 21, were captured on video resisting arrest and assaulting two police officers. One of the men was seen throwing violent elbows toward a female officer's head as she attempted to restrain him.
A police van arrived shortly afterward, and officers managed to de-escalate the situation, successfully apprehending the two men who were resisting arrest.
