sharp fuel hikes place hefty strain on taxi industry santaco

The South African National Taxi Council Santaco says the sharp fuel price increases have placed significant strain on taxi operators across the country.

Petrol prices increased by R3 a litre and both grades of diesel by between R7,37 and R7,51 per litre.

The increases would have been much higher without a temporary R3 cut in the fuel levy announced by government.
