The South African Revenue Service SARS has exceeded R2 trillion in revenue collections for the first time in its history.
Presenting the revenue results in Pretoria, SARS Commissioner Edward Kieswetter says the organisation collected a total of R2.010 trillion.
Kieswetter, whose seven-year tenure at the helm of the organisation ends this month, says the milestone marks a year-on-year revenue growth of 8.8 despite the constrained economic environment.
