Severe Weather Warnings Issued In Sa, Yellow Level 4 For Gauteng

The South African Weather Service SAWS has issued a severe warning of thundershowers across the country, including Gauteng, with a yellow level 4 warning.
Forecaster Lehlogonolo Thobela says these storms may be severe, with a warning also in place for severe thunderstorms in KwaZulu-Natal, North West and Northern Cape.
A yellow level two warning for severe thunderstorms is expected on the northern parts of KwaZulu-Natal. We expecting these thunderstorms to remain yellow level two on the Free State, North West and Northern Cape, stretching to Gauteng, a yellow level four warning for severe thunderstorm specifically for the southern parts of the province. We expect widespread showers and thunder showers into the afternoon. For the northern areas, it will be a yellow level two for the minor impact of heavy downpours to localise flooding. There is possibility of damaging winds and hail and lightning in Gauteng.
In the City of Tshwane, Emergency Services has warned communities to remain on high alert due to rainy weather conditions.
EMS Spokesperson Lindsay Mnguni says emergency services will be on alert for any incidents.
