With Group D at the African Nations Championships now underway, heres a look at how Senegal, Nigeria, Congo and Sudan fared on Tuesday evening.
The abovementioned teams all took to the Amani Stadium on Tuesday as Group D commenced their proceedings at the tournament.
Beginning with Congo and Sudan, the two nations could not be separated in Zanzibar City following a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes. In what was a game dominated by Sudan, Musa Ali Hussein put the Falcons of Jediane ahead in the 29th minute.
Not holding back, Congo replied four minutes from time as Carly Landou joined Hussein on the scoreboard late on in the tie.
In the adjacent fixture, Senegal managed to secure a 1-0 victory against Nigeria and subsequently took charge of Group D.
