eko says yes to manchester united as personal terms agreed with the rb leipzig striker

Manchester United have reached a total agreement on personal terms with Benjamin eko, Softfootball can confirm.

However, Newcastle's hopes have been dashed, as Alexander Isak, who is not for sale, is not interested in joining Liverpool, who offered 120 million.

As revealed by transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, eko has now given the green light to a contract that would run until June 2030. The Slovenian striker has made United his top priority, with sources close to the deal insisting that no other club has received such a clear commitment.

Fabrizio wrote on his X handle as this:

Softfootball have then gathered that talks with RB Leipzig are now expected to accelerate, with United prepared to match the 90 million package previously submitted by Newcastle United. But unlike other suitors, United now have a personal agreement in place, a significant breakthrough that puts them in pole position.

Internally, there's growing belief at Carrington that eko is the profile Ruben Amorim has been waiting for. According to an insider source, Amorim had reached out to Sesko, and the player and manager discussed the United project, which he fell in love with.

Many believed this was the reason Leipzig omitted eko from their last friendly against Atalanta, and the striker has been training alone since it became obvious that he would leave the club this summer.

The Mancunians have already been attracting players of like-minded vision for the ongoing project with reinforcements in the likes of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo from Wolves and Brentford, respectively, but the manager wants a target man.
