Kraaifontein Crime Intelligence members discovered an illegal alcohol manufacturing plant in Uitzicht while on a mission to recover an unlicensed firearm, Cape town Etc reports.
The operation unfolded late at night on 27 January 2026, as officers, bolstered by the presence of Durbanville SAPS members, descended upon a premises on Antilope Street-a location believed to be linked to a person of interest associated with the unlicensed weapon.
At approximately 11:30pm, the police operation took a dramatic twist when they encountered two Congolese nationals, aged 23 and 24.
