An unidentified man has gone missing at Cosy Bay in Oudekraal, prompting an extensive search operation by the National Sea Rescue Institute NSRI and various emergency services, Cape town Etc reports.
The incident unfolded on Sunday at approximately 4:38 PM when reports of a drowning in progress were received.
According to Bevan Geyser, NSRI Bakovens station commander, the Bakoven duty crew was quickly mobilised alongside the City of Cape Towns water rescue network. Responding swiftly, the NSRI rescue craft Gemini Legend was dispatched from their rescue base.
