Jabhi Mabuza always had a love of gaming when learning at his local arcade as a boy in Alexandra township in Johannesburg.
Little did he know that love would see him rise the ranks many years later to become the best in the country at his passion: a competitive Fighting Games player.
Jabhi successfully qualified to represent South Africa and the southern continent in his game of choice 'Street Fighter' after many rounds of local tournament qualifiers last year.
And next week, he will get his third chance to win one of the most coveted prizes in the lucrative competitive eSports space when he competes for the 1m Capcom Cup XI in Tokyo from March 5-9.
'I'm feeling confident. I've had enough practice to really show them flames. Im not putting too much pressure on myself,' he told News24 this week.
