Western Cape Police Commissioner, Thembisile Patekile, says there has been full cooperation with the police ombudsman, whose 2022 report found that gangs had infiltrated the police.
A redacted version of the report was released by Premier Alan Winde last week, following pressure by civil society.
Patekile was speaking in Paarl in the Boland during a medal parade for long service in the SAPS.
