South African National Defence Force SANDF Major General Siphiwe Sangweni says the behaviour of soldiers during their deployment inside South African borders to assist police is guided by the code of conduct.
He was briefing the Joint Standing Committee on Defence on the conduct of SANDF members during deployment.
Soldiers will be deployed in Gauteng, the Eastern and the Western Cape to assist police to fight gangsterism and illegal mining.
