The South African National Civic Organisation SANCO has commended the African National Congresss ANC historic role as a liberation movement and recognised the sacrifices it made in the struggle for freedom and democracy in the country.

However, as a self-described vanguard of the citizens, the organisation has highlighted what it termed the blatant collapse of state-owned entities, persistent high unemployment rate , widespread corruption, and maladministration in local municipalities, leading to ongoing failures in service delivery.
