Salah: Slot Made Life Easier

Mohamed Salah has credited Liverpool manager Arne Slot for unlocking his best-ever form by allowing him to focus entirely on attacking.
Salah scored in Liverpool's 5-1 thrashing of Tottenham on Sunday. The forward has now racked up 28 goals and 18 assists in just 34 Premier League appearances this season. His impressive form throughout the season won the Reds the league title and placed him atop the list of potential Ballon dOr winners.
Speaking after the match, Salah explained that Slot's clear tactical instructions and willingness to adapt based on player feedback made all the difference.
Hes quite tough, Salah said. But he made our life easier because immediately he knew what he wanted from us. I'm glad we won it here.
When asked if Slot had made him a better player, Salah pointed to the staggering numbers as proof.
You can see the numbers. It seems so. Now I dont have to defend much, he said. The tactics are quite different. I told him, As long as you rest me defensively, I will deliver offensively. Rest me as much as you can, and I'll show you the numbers. And Im glad I did.
Salah praised Slot's flexibility in listening to player input, It was the manager's idea, but he listened a lot. I spoke to him, and you can see the results.
He added, In the Premier League, you usually have to defend a lot. But I told him I can gamble here and there. When I get the ball, Im free to create and make the difference. The number of assists shows that its not just about goals but also creating chances that change the game.
With the Premier League title now secured, Salah is eyeing another record, breaking the all-time single season assist record in the Premier League, currently shared by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne 20 assists.
Salah, on 18 assists, needs just three more across Liverpool's final four games against Chelsea, Arsenal, Brighton, and Crystal Palace to set a new historic mark.
