The South African Human Rights Commission SAHRC says it is assessing complaints against former Ukhozi FM radio presenter Ngizwe Mchunu for allegedly making derogatory remarks against the LGBTQI community.
Mchunu made the comments in a recent TikTok video which went viral, sparking condemnation from activists, civil society groups and political leaders as well as on social media. He has since deleted the video.
SAHRC on Ngizwe MchunuIn a statement on Thursday 2 October, SAHRC said it was aware of Mchunus alleged homophobic and offensive utterances.
