Former South African Football Association SAFA Chief Executive Dennis Mumble believes the country will be ready to step in and host a successful 2026 CAF Womens Africa Cup of Nations WAFCON tournament.
If Morocco decides to pull out like its allegedly threatening to do, South Africa will have just over a month to prepare to host the 16-team biennial tournament.
Deputy Minister of Sport, Peace Mabe, stated on Sunday that South Africa is the new host of the tournament.
