Government insists that its mission in Democratic Republic of Congo DRC has been successful.
This emerged in Parliament in a briefing on the removal of the SA soldiers from the DRC.
Earlier this year, 14 SANDF soldiers died in fighting between M23 rebels and Congolese military in the eastern DRC.
Defence Minister Angie Motshekga says, What was delayed all along is that DRC was delayed even though they will not say so to the international platforms. The other ones will attend the meetings and the other ones will not attend the meetings. Unfortunately the other platforms that came to the fore include the United Nations and other nations were able to to intervene to make sure that both countries were willing to talk to each other.
