The Ministry of ICT and Innovation in Rwanda hosted a courtesy meeting with H.E. Gao Wenqi, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Rwanda, to explore deeper collaboration in information and communication technology ICT, artificial intelligence AI, and digital innovation. The meeting was attended by Rwanda's Minister of State, Yves Iradukunda, and Permanent Secretary Eraste Turangwa.
Discussions focused on Rwanda's ongoing smart education initiatives and opportunities to scale digital infrastructure and technology adoption in schools across the country. Both parties emphasized the importance of partnerships for knowledge sharing, research, and innovation to support Rwanda's national development agenda.
The meeting reflects Rwanda's commitment to leveraging international cooperation to advance its digital economy and position the country as a regional hub for ICT and AI-driven development.
