Rajasthan Royals endured a ninth-placed finish in IPL 2025 after winning only four of their 14 matches in the league phase. Although there were glimpses of positives from the likes of the young Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag, it was a disappointing performance overall from the Rajasthan-based franchise.
Five back-to-back defeats during their tournament halfway through meant that their race to the playoffs had been derailed. RR finished level on points with Chennai Super Kings, however, their marginally better net run rate -0.549 ensured they did not finish at the rock bottom.
Going into the next season, two massive names - Sanju Samson and Nitish Rana - will not be a part of RR. While Samson has been traded to CSK in exchange of Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran, Nitish has traded to DC in return of South Africa's Donovan Ferreira.
