Rohit Sharma Picked, Virat Kohli Snubbed As England Stars Name Ultimate Hundred Xi

Indian ODI skipper and one of the most destructive white-ball players in the world, Rohit Sharma's abilities have been acknowledged by English stars as they name him in their ultimate Hundred XI.

The Mumbai-based Indian cricketer is undoubtedly one of the most destructive batters in the history of international white-ball cricket. Despite his habit of scoring quick runs at the top, he has some remarkable consistency in the formats, evident from his stats.

The right-hander has 11,168 runs and 32 ODI hundreds in 273 games. He has the third-most runs in ODI World Cups for India, while he has the fourth-highest run tally in ODI cricket, not far from replacing Sourav Ganguly at no. 3. Though now retired from the T20I format, he still is the highest run-getter in the format with 4231 runs and the joint most hundreds in T20Is 5.

Recently, English white-ball spinner Adil Rashid, who plays for the Northern Superchargers in the Hundred, was asked to pick an opening partner for the legendary Chris Gayle. He was seen picking up an Ultimate Hundred XI and said in a video uploaded on Sky Sports:

"No.2, I'll go for Rohit Sharma. Played against him many times. He's hit hundreds, many match-winning scores. He's one of those players when you bowl to him, he can take the game away from you very quickly. Effortless as well, so I think he's up there as my opening pair. So, he will be there at No.2."

The English spinner has played on several occasions against Rohit Sharma, and the batter's exceptional record against England marks that Rashid would surely have some memory of a trashing in his mind while he names the Indian skipper in the side.

Current English white-ball skipper Harry Brook is also the captain of the Northern Superchargers and is currently playing in The Hundred, with his Test captain acting as an observatory mentor to the side.

Brook was recently part of the India vs England, Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy that ended in a 2-2 draw, and Brook was picked as the Player of the series from the England team. However, the batter seems flabbergasted by an Indian player due to his great show in the series.

It's none other than India veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who has scored 500 runs in the series and has been handy with the ball, bowling several overs for the Indians. His innings at Lord's were commendable, though he could not lead his team to victory.

Recently, while picking the ultimate Hundred XI, he suggested, " No.7 Jadeja because he is obviously a very good left-arm spinner. He can bang in at the end and is an amazing fielder as well."
