Veteran quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is visiting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Tuesday and is expected to sign with the team, according to sources confirmed by ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Bridgewater, 32, last appeared on the Detroit Lions' roster in December 2024, briefly coming out of retirement to back up Jared Goff. He didn't play in the regular season but completed his only pass for 3 yards during a playoff loss to the Washington Commanders.

Bridgewater has played for six NFL teams since entering the league in 2014, compiling a 33-32 record with over 15,000 passing yards and 75 touchdowns.

He made the Pro Bowl in 2015 after leading the Vikings to an 11-5 season. He retired in 2024 and became the head coach at his alma mater, Miami Northwestern High School, helping the team win a state championship.

However, Bridgewater's coaching career hit a roadblock in June.
