The South African Weather Service SAWS has issued a Red Level 10 warning for disruptive rain in Mpumalanga and Limpopo.
The weather service says heavy rainfall is expected to persist Thursday and Friday in the eastern parts of the two provinces .
It says the risk of widespread flooding remains critically high.
