President Cyril Ramaphosa is scheduled to address the nation on Sunday, 13 July 2025, at 7pm in a critical moment for South Africa's national security, Cape town Etc reports.
The address comes in response to troubling allegations raised by KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Lt-Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi concerning the conduct of senior political figures and police leadership.
This significant announcement follows a media briefing held by Mkhwanazi on 6 July, during which he detailed serious claims that have sent ripples through the governance and security apparatus of the country.
Ramaphosa, who was attending the BRICS summit in Brazil at the time, pledged to address these pressing issues upon his return, recognising the implications they hold for the national security landscape.
