President Cyril Ramaphosa has suspended the Inspector-General of Intelligence Imtiaz Fazel with immediate effect, pending a decision in an investigation by Parliaments Joint Standing Committee JSCI on Intelligence.
The investigation is set to look into Fazels conduct.
The JSCI has informed President Ramaphosa that it has received a complaint on the conduct of the Inspector-General and confirmed that the committee will investigate the matter.
