President Cyril Ramaphosa has defended his decision to select a panel that will recommend the appointment of the next National Director of Public Prosecutions NDPP.
He is answering oral questions in the National Assembly. He was first criticized by DAs Glynnis Breytenbach that the panel doesnt have a person experienced in prosecuting criminal matters.
He responded by saying he is open to good ideas. While BOSA leader Dr Mmusi Maimane suggested that it should rather be chaired by some of members of the GNU to avoid conflict of interest when ANC members are to be prosecuted in future.
