Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment Minister Willie Aucamp says he has asked Public Protector Advocate Kholeka Gcaleka to investigate former Minister Doctor Dion George .
Aucamp has alleged that George possibly abused state resources. According to Aucamp, the former Ministers then Advisor and Acting Chief-of-Staff, Shelton Mollentze, as well as personal Assistant Traverse le Goff, must also be investigated.
George was removed as the minister in this portfolio late last year by President Cyril Ramaphosa, following a request from Democratic Alliance DA leader John Steenhuisen, citing underperformance.
